The crew over at Mantra of Morta had a clear vision for their “Snake Charmer” album artwork. A hooded shamanka (female shaman), wearing a veil that only covered the upper half of her face, with a snake wrapped around her neck and a stone heart, in an ethereal setting like outer space. I requested a photo of their vocalist, Jessie, to use for the character’s face, then the rest was composited using a combination of traditional painting, Photoshop and Blender3D.
